دکتر کیوان دهناد؛ اسطوره‌ای جهانی و نخستین ایرانی دارنده دان ۸ جودو از فدراسیون جهانی
در جهانی که دان ۸ جودو تنها به معدود چهره‌های تأثیرگذار اعطا می‌شود، یک ایرانی توانست در کنار بزرگان این رشته قرار گیرد؛ دکتر کیوان دهناد، مردی که جودو را از مرزهای ایران عبور داد و آن را به زبان جهانی افتخار ترجمه کرد.
به گزارش رادیو نشاط، در دنیای ورزش‌های رزمی، رسیدن به دان ۸ جودو نه یک موفقیت فردی، بلکه افتخاری ملی و فرهنگی برای هر کشوری محسوب می‌شود. این درجه، فراتر از توانایی جسمی یا تکنیکی، نماد دهه‌ها تلاش، وفاداری، آموزش، داوری و نقش‌آفرینی در بالاترین سطح جهانی است. در میان کشورهای جهان، تنها معدود افرادی به این سطح نائل آمده‌اند؛ و در میان ایرانیان، تنها یک نام می‌درخشد:

دکتر دهناد در سال ۲۰۲۰، موفق شد دان ۸ جودو را از دستان آقای ماریوس ویزر، رئیس فدراسیون جهانی جودو، دریافت کند و نام خود را به‌عنوان پرافتخارترین ورزشکار رزمی ایران ثبت نماید. پیش‌تر، در سال ۱۹۹۸ نیز او نخستین ایرانی بود که موفق به دریافت دان ۷ جهانی جودو شد. اما افتخارات دکتر دهناد، تنها به درجات فنی محدود نمی‌شود.
او در سال ۱۹۹۲، به‌عنوان نخستین داور بین‌المللی جودوی ایران، در مسابقات جهانی ارتش‌های جهان در سئول کره جنوبی داوری کرد و حتی مسئولیت قضاوت در دیدارهای فینال را نیز بر عهده داشت. در ادامه، حضور او در مسابقات جهانی مختلف، به‌ویژه داوری فینال مسابقات جهانی جودو در توکیو، جایگاهی بی‌بدیل برای او در تاریخ جودوی ایران و آسیا رقم زد؛ مسابقه‌ای تاریخی که در آن، تیم زنان ژاپن با پیروزی بر فرانسه، قهرمان جهان شد و رکوردی جهانی به ثبت رساند.
اما خدمات دکتر دهناد به ورزش رزمی، تنها به جودو محدود نیست. او بنیان‌گذار رشته جوجیتسو در ایران و دارنده دان ۱۰ جوجیتسو از فدراسیون جهانی است. همچنین، وی رشته یونگ مودو (Yongmudo) را در ایران پایه‌گذاری کرده و به‌عنوان یک مرجع علمی و فنی در سطح بین‌المللی شناخته می‌شود.
دکتر دهناد تاکنون چندین بار در تالار مشاهیر ورزش‌های رزمی جهان مورد تقدیر قرار گرفته و جوایز ارزنده‌ای چون جایزه هنر در خدمت صلح در برج ایفل پاریس و عنوان اسطوره ورزش‌های رزمی جهان را از آن خود کرده است.
رسیدن به دان ۸ جودو، همان‌گونه که تحلیل‌گران ورزشی و فنی تأکید می‌کنند، مسیری‌ست که تنها با عشق واقعی، سال‌ها تعهد، و حضور مؤثر در توسعه اخلاقی و فرهنگی ورزش ممکن می‌شود. در حالی که دان‌های پایین‌تر نشانه قدرت بدنی و مهارت تکنیکی‌اند، دان ۸ نماد میراث، شخصیت و نقش تمدنی ورزشکار در سطح جهانی است.
در بسیاری از کشورها، تنها چند نفر به این درجه نائل می‌شوند؛ افرادی که نه‌تنها تاریخ‌سازند، بلکه الگو و الهام‌بخش نسل‌های آینده خواهند بود.
در ایران، این افتخار برای همیشه با نام دکتر کیوان دهناد گره خورده است؛ ورزشکاری که هرگز از ایران فاصله نگرفت، و همواره پرچم‌دار نام میهن خود در بزرگ‌ترین صحنه‌های جهانی بود.

In 2020, Dr. Dehnad received his 8th Dan in Judo from Mr. Marius Vizer, President of the International Judo Federation (IJF), marking a historic moment that established him as Iran’s most decorated martial artist. Earlier, in 1998, he had already made history by becoming the first Iranian to receive the 7th Dan from the IJF — a feat unmatched until today.
However, Dr. Dehnad’s legacy extends far beyond rank. In 1992, he became Iran’s first international Judo referee, officiating at the World Military Games held in Seoul, South Korea, where he was also entrusted with refereeing the final matches — a rare honor. His presence in numerous world tournaments, especially the Judo World Championships final in Tokyo, earned him unparalleled recognition in the history of Iranian and Asian Judo. That final match — where the Japanese women’s team defeated France to win their second world title — was a landmark event that was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.
Beyond Judo, Dr. Dehnad founded the art of Jujitsu in Iran, and holds a 10th Dan in Jujitsu from the international federation. He also introduced Yongmudo to Iran, further establishing himself as a scientific and technical authority in the global martial arts community.
Over the years, Dr. Dehnad has been inducted into several international martial arts Halls of Fame, and has received distinguished honors such as the “Art for Peace” award at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, and the coveted title of “Martial Arts Legend of the World.”
As sports analysts and experts emphasize, reaching the 8th Dan in Judo is a path paved not only with skill, but with true passion, enduring commitment, and a deep contribution to the cultural and ethical development of the sport.
