شب گذشته، تالار باشکوه مشاهیر ورزش‌های رزمی در مونیخ، نامی تازه را بر لوح افتخار خود حک کرد:
دکتر سیروس احمدی؛ دارندهٔ دکترای علوم ورزشی و کارشناس مهاجرت ایرانی–استرالیایی که سال گذشته با یک رکورد خارق‌العاده در حرکت کرانچ، مرزهای توان بشری را جابه‌جا کرد.در مراسمی با حضور ستارگانی همچون سینتیا روتراک، اسطورهٔ سینمای رزمی، دکتر کیوان دهناد، استاد بزرگ ایرانی‌سوئیسی، و جمعی از قهرمانان برجسته جهان در رشته‌های کیک‌بوکسینگ، کاراته، تکواندو و جودو، سیروس احمدی تندیس ارزشمند Sportsperson of the Year را در میان تشویق پرشور حضار دریافت کرد؛ صحنه‌ای که برق فلاش‌ها و هیجان فضا، یادآور آن روز تاریخی در میدان پاراماتای سیدنی بود که رؤیای کرانچ به واقعیت بدل شد.

۱۷ مه ۲۰۲۵. درون سالن، نورافکن‌ها روشن و دوربین‌ها آماده ثبت لحظه‌ای خاص بودند. مجری آلمانی نامش را که خواند، سالن با تشویق گرم لرزید. احمدی، این‌بار با کت‌وشلوار رسمی، روی صحنه قدم گذاشت و در کنار بزرگان رزمی جهان، تندیس افتخار را در آغوش کشید.کمیته داوران تالار مشاهیر ورزش‌های رزمی جهان پس از بررسی کامل بیوگرافی و فعالیت‌های ورزشی او، دلیل انتخابش را «عزم و پشتکار باورنکردنی» در ثبت رکورد تاریخی کرانچ و تأثیر الهام‌بخش آن بر نسل جوان عنوان کردند. به گفته داوران، حرکت نمادین احمدی نه‌تنها مرزهای توان جسمی را به چالش کشید، بلکه انگیزه‌ای تازه برای ورزشکاران و علاقه‌مندان به سلامت بود. این تالار معتبر، او را شایسته دریافت تندیس «برترین‌ها» دانست،جایزه‌ای که تنها به کسانی تعلق می‌گیرد که اثرشان فراتر از مدال‌ها، در دل‌ها ماندگار است.
کرانچ‌هایی که انگیزه ساختند، نه فقط عضله
احمدی که روزانه در جایگاه مشاور مهاجرت با متقاضیان گوناگون در تماس است، حالا الهام‌بخش کسانی‌ست که رؤیای تازه‌ای را در سر دارند. او ثابت کرد که «مهاجرت» فقط جابه‌جایی جغرافیایی نیست بلکه امید هم باید مهاجرت کند؛ از ذهن تا عمل. حضور او در تالار مونیخ، نه‌فقط ثبت یک رکورد ورزشی، بلکه نمایشی از قدرت اراده در جهانی‌ست که با عزم و باور، هر مرزی را می‌توان پشت سر گذاشت.
شعلهٔ سرخی که روزی از پیراهن بنیاد حمایت از بیماران قلب در پاراماتا برخاست، اکنون به نمادی جهانی از پایداری و الهام بدل شده؛ پیامی روشن برای تمام آن‌هایی که فکر می‌کنند رؤیاها دورند: سن، موقعیت شغلی یا ملیت، هیچ‌کدام بزرگ‌تر از خواستن نیستند. و وقتی شبِ مونیخ به پایان رسید، صدای تشویق‌ها هنوز در فضا موج می‌زد ضرباهنگی که شاید جرقه‌ای باشد برای نوجوانی در گوشه‌ای از جهان تا اولین کرانچ زندگی‌اش را به افتخار سیروس احمدی آغاز کند.
از دل باران، از دل پاراماتا؛ داستان پرواز یک رؤیا
۱۱ مه ۲۰۲۴—Centenary Square، سیدنی. باران ریز و آرام پاییزی سنگفرش‌های پاراماتا را پوشانده بود، اما نه زمین لغزنده و نه هوای نمناک، مانعی برای عزم سیروس احمدی نبود. با پیراهن سرخ بنیاد حمایت ازبیماران قلبی ، به مناسبت تولد پنجاه‌سالگی‌اش و برای حمایت از آن عزیزان، وارد چالشی شد که تنها با پشتکار می‌شد آن را به پایان رساند.
صدای شمارندهٔ الکترونیکی در فضای بارانی با ریتم موسیقی دی‌جی در هم تنیده بود، و هر حرکت او، موجی از تشویق در میان جمعیت ایرانیان مقیم سیدنی به‌پا می‌کرد. سامیر پاندِی، عضو شورای شهر، و دکتر اندرو چارلتون MP هم برای دلگرمی در کنارش به زمین نشستند و کرانچ زدند. پس از بیش از پنج ساعت تلاش بی‌وقفه، شماره‌نگار هوشمند روی عدد 20034 ایستاد و رکورد پیشین جهان شکسته شد.
آن روز، باران فقط بر زمین نمی‌بارید—بر تاریخ می‌بارید. و از دل همان باران، رؤیایی برخاست که حالا در شب باشکوه مونیخ، شکوفا شده بود.

In a ceremony attended by martial arts legends such as Cynthia Rothrock, the renowned action film star, Dr. Keyvan Dehnad, the Iranian-Swiss Grandmaster, and global champions across disciplines like kickboxing, karate, taekwondo, and judo, Cyrus Ahmadi received the prestigious “Sportsperson of the Year” award—amid flashing lights, heartfelt applause, and a standing ovation that recalled his historic day in Sydney’s Parramatta Square.
A Rainy Night, A Shining Star

Outside, a gentle rain washed the cobblestone streets of Munich. But inside the hall, the lights were bright, the cameras ready, and every eye fixed on one man: the “Iron Man of Crunch.” When the host announced his name, the room erupted. Dressed in a sharp black suit, Ahmadi stepped onto the stage and received the bronze Sportsperson of the Year trophy beside giants of the martial arts world.
The Hall of Fame’s selection committee, after thoroughly reviewing Ahmadi’s biography and athletic achievements, stated that their choice was based on his “unshakable determination and inspiring perseverance.” His record-breaking crunch challenge had not only tested physical limits, they said, but also sparked hope and motivation in countless young people worldwide. His achievement was seen as more than a performance—it was a movement, a message of empowerment. For that reason, the committee awarded him one of the Hall’s highest honors: the Trophy of Distinction, reserved for athletes whose influence extends beyond medals—into hearts.

It was a drizzly autumn morning. Light rain slicked the pavement of Parramatta, but the weather didn’t faze Cyrus Ahmadi. Wearing the signature red of PCYC, he stepped into a challenge not many would dare to attempt. On his 50th birthday, he committed to a test of sheer endurance—one that would raise awareness for heart health and redefine what’s possible at any age.
To the beat of live music and the clicks of a digital counter, his shoulders rose and fell in perfect form. Crowd energy surged with every number. Sameer Pandey, Parramatta City Councillor, and Dr. Andrew Charlton MP, a Federal Member of Parliament, joined him in crunching to show their support. Despite the chill and the rain, the local Iranian-Australian community stood strong, cheering him on—soaked in spirit, not just in weather.
After more than five grueling hours, the digital counter froze on a number the world wouldn’t forget. A world record was born. Not just in numbers—but in hearts.
