سناتور رف سیکون: استرالیا تحریمهای جدیدی علیه جمهوری اسلامی ایران اعمال میکند
در ادامه فشارهای بینالمللی بر جمهوری اسلامی، دولت استرالیا از اعمال دور تازهای از تحریمهای مالی هدفمند خبر داده است؛ اقدامی که به گفته سناتور رف سیکون، در پاسخ مستقیم به سرکوب خشونتبار اعتراضات مردمی، بازداشتهای گسترده و قطع سراسری اینترنت در ایران انجام شده است.
سناتور Raff Ciccone در پیامی که برای #رادیوشاط ارسال کرده است، اعلام کرد دولت استرالیا در واکنش به سرکوب خشونتبار اعتراضات مسالمتآمیز در ایران، تحریمهای مالی هدفمند جدیدی علیه جمهوری اسلامی اعمال کرده است.
در این پیام آمده است که این اقدامات در پاسخ به گزارشهای گسترده درباره خشونت علیه معترضان، بازداشتهای گسترده و قطع سراسری اینترنت در ایران اتخاذ شدهاند. بر اساس اعلام دولت استرالیا، در مرحله جدید تحریمها، ۲۰ فرد و ۳ نهاد مرتبط با سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی به دلیل نقش آنها در سرکوب مردم ایران و تهدید جان انسانها در داخل و خارج از کشور هدف تحریم قرار گرفتهاند.
سناتور رف سیکون در پیام خود تأکید کرده است که دولت آلبانیزی تاکنون بیش از ۲۰۰ فرد و نهاد ایرانی را تحریم کرده و استرالیا در کنار شرکای بینالمللی خود، از مردم ایران حمایت میکند.
در این پیام همچنین تصریح شده است که استرالیا به استفاده از ابزارهای دیپلماتیک و حقوقی برای پاسخگو کردن عاملان نقض حقوق بشر ادامه خواهد داد و تحولات ایران را بهدقت دنبال میکند.
در ادامه این موضعگیری، سناتور رف سیکون در پیامی ویدیویی تأکید کرده است که استرالیا در محکومیت سرکوب خشونتبار اعتراضات مسالمتآمیز و نقض حقوق بنیادین بشر توسط حکومت ایران، در کنار مردم ایران ایستاده است.
او با اشاره به سخنان خود در مجلس سنای استرالیا اعلام کرده است که این اقدامات را بهطور رسمی مطرح کرده و از تحریمهای مالی هدفمند دولت استرالیا علیه عاملان این سرکوب، از جمله افراد و نهادهای مرتبط بهطور مستقیم با سپاه پاسداران انقلاب اسلامی، حمایت کرده است.
سناتور رف سیکون همچنین تصریح کرده است که دولت آلبانیزی شجاعت، اندوه و تلاشهای مردم ایران — از جمله ایرانیان مقیم استرالیا — را به رسمیت میشناسد و استرالیا در دفاع از حقوق بشر و حقوق بینالملل، همراه با شرکای بینالمللی خود، با قاطعیت به اقداماتش ادامه خواهد داد.

Senator Raff Ciccone: Australia Imposes New Sanctions on the Islamic Republic of Iran
Amid continued international pressure on the Islamic Republic, the Australian Government has announced a new round of targeted financial sanctions, a move which Senator Raff Ciccone says is a direct response to the regime’s violent crackdown on public protests, mass arrests, and nationwide internet shutdowns in Iran.
In a message sent to Radio Neshat, Senator Raff Ciccone stated that Australia has imposed further targeted financial sanctions in reaction to the brutal suppression of peaceful protests in Iran.
According to the statement, these measures were adopted in response to widespread reports of violence against protesters, mass detentions, and the deliberate shutdown of internet access across the country. Under the latest sanctions, 20 individuals and 3 entities linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have been targeted for their role in oppressing the Iranian people and threatening lives both inside Iran and abroad.
Senator Ciccone emphasised that the Albanese Government has now sanctioned more than 200 Iranian individuals and entities, and that Australia continues to stand with the people of Iran alongside its international partners.
The statement also notes that Australia will continue to use diplomatic and legal mechanisms to hold perpetrators of human rights violations accountable and will closely monitor developments in Iran.
In a further statement, Senator Raff Ciccone emphasised in a video message that Australia stands with the people of Iran in condemning the regime’s brutal repression of peaceful protests and its denial of fundamental human rights.
He noted that he raised these concerns directly in the Australian Senate and expressed his support for the Australian Government’s targeted financial sanctions against those responsible, including individuals and entities directly linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Senator Ciccone also stated that the Albanese Government recognises the courage, grief and advocacy of the Iranian people — including members of the Iranian community in Australia — and will continue to act decisively alongside international partners in defence of human rights and international law.
